UNIQUE SHOPPING DRIVING TOUR
Shops Off The Beaten Path
10:00am Jell-O Gallery Gift Shop in LeRoy, NY. First stop, and the only place in the United States where
you can purchase Jell-O memorabilia. While you're there, you might want to visit the museum
and the Le Roy House.
10:55am Depart for The Hobby Horse.
11:00am The Hobby Horse, just up the street from the Jell-O Museum on Rt. 5. You'll love poking around
in this gift/antique store, where merchandise and prices remind you of a bygone era.
12:15pm Depart for lunch in Batavia. Select one of the three:
O'Lacy's Pub - (Small buses only) Irish/American fare - try their homemade chips
Center Street Smokehouse -(Wed only/buffet ) Southern Style BBQ
Jackson Street Grill/ Belladessa's Pizza - Hamburgers, sandwiches, pizza, etc. Ask about their
weekly specials.
1:45pm Shop the Block (within walking distance from your restaurants) Don't forget to admire the
murals painted on the buildings (Jackson Square) near the toy store.

3:00pm Depart for Oliver's Candies at the juncture of Rts. 98 & 5. Sample sponge candy (a Western NY
favorite) or indulge in fine chocolate. Enjoy their large store, and don't forget to look closely at the
fence.
3:45pm Depart for Kutter's Cheese House.
4:00pm A stop at Kutter's Cheese House is a must. Take some of their NY wine and cheese
home so you can share your goodies and memories with friends.
4:30pm Leave for South Main Country Gifts. This shop's just off Rt. 5, turn left past the metal
bridge and another quick left on S. Main (#3356). A short way on the right, you'll find Oak & Pine
furniture, primitives, unique collectibles and country gifts. (If you get to E. Pembrook, you've gone
too far.)
5:45pm Head for home or return to your choice of Batavia area hotels. Rest your weary feet, consolidate
your packages, and get ready for dinner.
7:15pm Dinner reservations are for 7:30 at any of the following Batavia restaurants:
Alex's Place, Bohn's, Bistro Christina (upscale dining)
Feeling lucky? Try a little gaming at Batavia Downs before returning to your hotel.
